“In prison, you can either become a better criminal or you can become a better person.” -Brad Modrich
A famous movie line said, “You did an awful thing, it doesn’t make you an awful person.” And that is true for all of us. Who we were does not define who we are and who we can become.
Brad Modrich made bad choices in his youth. He was a high school dropout, a convicted felon, and a former drug addict. Brad believed that he was where he was supposed to be-in prison. Apparently, that was far from the truth. Today, Brad is one successful and inspiring serial entrepreneur, father, husband, and leader.
In this episode, Brad shares his dark past and what it took for him to break free from the prison walls of victim mentality and imposter syndrome. Bruce and Brad also discuss how our association can influence our identity, where we should project our energy, why we should be watchful of the people who take away our energy, and how to change the conversation we have with ourselves. Stop running from reality. Break the mental barriers that hinder you from becoming your best self. Tune in and learn to love life again.
