Delicious Pan-Fried Salmon

The name of this simple yet delicious dish says it all! This pan-fried salmon entree is packed with flavor and omega-3 fatty acids. It’s a classic go-to dinner staple for your family or perfect for your next dinner party.

Ingredients

  • Salmon (choose an individual portion or a whole fillet)
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. of the cooking oil of your choice
  • Kosher salt (apply lightly depending on portion size)

Directions

1) Warm up your pan to medium heat and then add oil.

2) Lightly salt the salmon’s skin.

3) Place the salmon’s skin side down first. Turn the fish over as the center gets lighter in color and partially cover. This recipe works best if you have glass lids so you can see what’s going on while cooking.

4) Watch for the salmon to change to a lighter color. It may turn beige or a cream color. Your salmon will be done before it looks completely done.

5) Cook the salmon to an internal temperature of 145 degrees, remove from heat, and rest for a minimum of 3-4 minutes before serving.

6) Add lemon slices while cooking if desired for extra flavor. Or try lemon juice for a splash of flavor.

7) Salmon goes great with a fresh side salad, warm bread, and your favorite vegetables! Browse our collection of recipes for ideas.
